About Giovanni Morassutti

Giovanni Morassutti was born in Padua, Italy from a German mother and an Italian father on March 15th 1980. While still in high school he began to study acting with Susan Strasberg. At 18 years old, he moved to New York City to study The Method. In 1999 he was an intern at the Actors Studio, where he observed the sessions for about a year. He became a student and collaborator of John Strasberg for the organisation of his workshops in Italy. In 2016 Morassutti wrote the preface of the Italian version of Strasberg´s book Accidentally on Purpose. In 2003 Giovanni worked as an actor with Ellen Stewart, Ted Mornel, and Gus Van Sant among others. He also directed plays like Sola in casa by Dino Buzzati starring Lydia Biondi and Madre sin Panuelo by Jorge Palant. In 2008 he obtained a bachelor degree at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia directed by Giancarlo Giannini and he was cast in several roles in Italian theatre, tv and film. In 2005 he founded Art Aia-Creatives/ In/ Residence.
