Tempted and Tried By the Devil: Passing Through Temptations and Trials

The devil goes about with his fallen angels, demons, and human agents, tempting people and trying them with different kinds of trials, sufferings, and persecutions. From the beginning, he has been tempting the people of God; and even though he tempts and tries everyone, his main interest is in bringing down those who are at peace with God, trying to make them fall, and doing what he can to get them into sin, disobedience, and unrighteousness, because he wants every soul to spend eternity with him. No matter how the devil comes to tempt or try you, do not give in to the temptation, or yield to him due to trials, sufferings, and persecutions. God rewards the faithful and punishes the unfaithful.
