It is a biography that is unashamed of Luther's focus on the free gift of God's grace in Jesus Christ, instead of the system of merit that prevailed in Luther's Day. Just's strident yet colorful style has been left intact.
This edition has several new illustrations, as well as updates in the last chapter to reflect the current state of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
