Alex Toth is included in discussions of the list of best all-time comic book artists, though his talent went far beyond the paneled page. Toth (1928-2006) included in his impressive resume animation design on some of the most popular cartoon in America, newspaper strips, and television art director. His career covered seven decades, one of the masters of the early days who remained a busy master in his later days. This album of public domain storiesbegins with some of his earliest work in 1945 and carries his through the middle of 1952. During this period, while Toth was producing a lot of superhero material for DC Comics, while his work for other companies covered many genres, showing the extreme versatility for which Toth became known throughout his career.
