Mike Barnett: Man Against Crime
Gwandanaland Comics #1639 --- Based on the Hit TV Show - One Man Battles The Underworld - All Six Issues!
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
MAN AGAINST CRIME (aka Follow That Man) was one of the first TV shows to feature a private eye, and starred Hollywood legend Ralph Bellamy is the role of Mike Barnett, a man who sent the underworld into hiding and criminals scrambling for a way out. The TV series was historic in many ways: it was a long-running series for its day (1949-1954), ran on three different networks, including two at the same time(!), was filmed in New York rather than Hollywood, and was a pioneer of product placement as the tough-fisted Barnett flashed his Camel cigarettes during each episode. The six-issue series brought all the flavor, the drama and the grittiness of the TV show and added a very important element: color! This is the first complete collection of this iconic series in print, ever!
QUALITY NOTE: The pages of this book are aged and weathered, taken from actual comics that are many decades old. While we hope that you will enjoy their imperfect authenticity, if you are looking for the printed-today look, this collection would not be for you.
