RALPH 124C 41+
Gwandanaland Science Fiction Library #6 -- A Romance of the Year 2660 - The Hugo Gernsback Classic!
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The history of science-fiction contains many iconic names, but one is considered the founder of the modern science-fiction fandom – Hugo Gernsback (1884-1967). He was not the first or best writer or publisher of SF, but he was the man who brought it to the country at large. In Gersback's days he preferred the term scientifiction (though he also coined the term science-fiction), and in the eyes of many he started the science-fiction publishing business in the 1920s with Amazing Stories and other magazines. His serialized 1911 novel, RALPH 124C 41+ is often panned by critics, both literary and scientific, but with its initial 12-part publication, and then later novelization, Hugo Gernsback solidified his place as one of the fathers of modern science-fiction.
