In the world of pre-Code horror, few series taxed the limits of propriety and taste as did WEIRD MYSTERIES, and they did it with some of the top artists of the day: Basil Wolverton and Bernard Baily to name just a couple. Stories from this series were used in the infamous Seduction of The Innocent, part of the hysteria that led to the Comics Code and the dumbing-down of later horror magazines. Noted for “excessive” violence and torture, WEIRD MYSTERIES contains also some of the more creative and truly scary stories of the era.
