You Share Good

Gwenn Seemel has made her living as an artist for over a decade now, and for much of that time she made money without claiming the copyright on her art. In this book, Seemel tells why she puts her art in the public domain and why other artists might choose to question copyright as well, whether or not they decide to give up on it entirely. You Share Good begins by deconstructing copyright as a law and as a way of viewing creativity. Then, starting with the chapter called "Getting business done" Seemel explains how copyright and its alternatives work. Towards the end of the book, the artist shares practical tips for how to actually go about freeing your art and describes the rewards that come with that choice.
