"The German Wandervogel Movement as Erotic Phenomenon" is a translation of a work by the German social critic and philosopher Hans Blüher. The original work is an analysis of the psycho/social dynamics that were central to the creation and vitality of the German Wandervogel movement. Blüher’s analysis was quite controversial on two counts: first he claimed that homosexual feelings between older and younger males were a central dynamic in the movement, and second, he asserted that this was good. Blüher was an active participant-observer of the early phases of the movement.
