J I Case Pioneer Engineers and Patents 1871 - 1943

This second edition contains the patents of inventors employed by J I Case in Racine, Wisconsin during the early years. The first edition was privately printed and copies were given to a number of family members. A copy was also given to the Racine Heritage Museum with consent for printing and selling if desired. It contained about 90 patents. Often, since completing the first edition, I have been thinking there is a need to expand it to include Jesse Walrath of J I Case Threshing Machine Co. and engineers of the J I Case Plow Works Co. With these additions, there are about 170 patents listed, 1871 - 1941.
