In their seventh outing, after deciding that six rivers aren't enough for them to explore, the river motor boys head for the Great White North, and travels on the Yukon. They intend to trade trinkets with the Eskimos (spelled Esquimaux in the book) while they seek fortune in the gold fields. Fate and a pair of murderous brothers change their plans, forcing them to winter away from civilization, contracting scurvy when their potatoes are stolen (by guess what two people) and fight for their very lives. This time they are accompanied by a young Jewish man in search of his uncle's promise of fortune. NOTE: Although the publisher changed the name to THE RIVER MOTOR BOYS in this and the final volume, we have left it as SIX RIVER MOTOR BOYS for our editions.
