The Guru's devotees fill hundreds of rental houses that have been converted into an urban ashram community. This Guru is different than the rest. He has come to transform the world. Harvey Martin is a Southern writer and this is a story of a South transformed by the spirituality of ancient India. Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. took his inspiration for the Civil Rights Movement from Mahatma Gandhi. Devotees Pierce Madden and Evan Whitten, both veterans of the West Coast counterculture take their inspiration from Gurudev Ajnan Baba, a Guru of the Siddha lineage of Northern India.
