This book commemorates the Seneca students, artistically, that attended the Thomas Indian Boarding School on the Cattaraugus Territory of the Seneca Nation. The orange cover represents "Orange Shirt Day" to promote the awareness about the Indian residential school system still impacting Native American communities in the United States and Canada. Otherwise known as "National Day for Truth and Reconciliation' that honors children forced into Indian boarding schools and to remember those children that never returned home.
