Based on a true story about a guy that grew up in domestic violence, The House on Southland explores the author's past as he grew up dealing with gangs, drug addiction, crime, prison, attempted suicides, and brutal murders in the family. Determined to change, the author goes on a journey of introspection that opens a world of family history, deep into the past, from which he draws to give meaning to his own existence, despite the pain that the process provokes.
