The Teleological Target and Labour Law: Domestic and Global, situates workplace 'individual' rights-based models of enterprise bargaining between employees and employers within dominant global ideology embedded in the neoliberal era. It explores the legislative workplace bargaining rights and legal framework of the Australian Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) as a case study. It explores the need to re-establish greater collective bargaining rights and the imperative for unionisation of workers in the face of declining union membership, which is a global late-capitalist phenomenon. It gives a labour law teleological target for workplace rights for participatory workplaces to ultimately get beyond the employee-employer distinction, to be guided by a new and updated internationalist meta-narrative of social justice for the 21st century.
