Bowed, Rising

“Bowed, Rising” is a collection of 41 poems in three series of thirteen each. There are also introductory and closing poems that are not a part of the series, thus bringing the total to 41, nitpicker. It was previously titled “The Clutch Is Out,” and “Feeling New Fight,” before receiving substantial additions, edits and self-esteem-raising compliments to emerge in its current form. It was never titled “Pelvic Thrusts Toward The Sky, And God.” The included poems are “about” many things, including, but not limited to: growing up, interdimensional transportation, political correctness, finding buckets and filling them up, the state of affairs in the world and love, love, love. “The most ambitious project I’ve ever seen, or something.” —Craig Desmond Chavez, Chicano Marxist Eco-feminist Legal Scholar
