More Trouble with Plants is the natural sequel to The Trouble with Plants. No garden stands still, least of all this author's, resulting in a steady stream of new plants from different genera, each with their idiosyncrasies. And so in the footsteps of their predecessors, around 200 of these newcomers from more than 100 fresh genera form the basis of this second volume of plant anecdotes, following the same successful recipe as before. Firstly combine their botanical and horticultural details with the author's personal experience of nurturing them. Then blend in a liberal helping of trivia, either directly or tenuously connected to the name, folklore, history and usage of the genus. Season with a pinch of the author's sometimes eccentric point of view, and serve in palatable slices. The upshot is again intended to whet the appetitie of gardeners, as well as maybe a few non-gardeners.
