The Star vs The Beast is a play showing the tough battle going on between women and breast cancer. The book tells a story about a Movie Star Florence Ikemba who was a breast cancer survivor. She became an agent of change, a source of hope and encouragement to women who struggle with the disease. She took the message of breast cancer prevention to every woman in the society. She became an advocate, activist and a campaigner against the disease that threatened her life and career. By her advocacy and activism she became even more powerful and shining brighter than she was as an actress. By her work in breast cancer prevention she received several meritorious awards nationally and internationally. Women had often thank God that she survived breast cancer. In this play, Florence is figuratively described as the Star while Breast Cancer is the Beast.
