The Indian Army's manual on forest/jungle warfare inevitably mushroomed from its original 1940 edition to this fourth edition, as it sought to provide the knowledge necessary to beat the myth of Japanese military supremacy and the understandable fear of the jungle. Within the restrictions of the format, this is a facsimile of an original pamphlet that was produced under wartime economy standards. This reprint is legible but reflects the variable print quality of the original. Tactical diagrams have been reproduced in colour.
