The Story of the 25th Indian Division - The Arakan Campaign
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Formed in August 1942, the 25th Indian Division trained for a year and a half before being despatched to the Arakan in February 1944. The Division subsequently moved onto the offensive, first by land and then by sea and river, carrying out landings at Aykab, Myebon, Kangaw and Ru-Ywa along Burma's West coast.
Beyond the scope of this short history, they subsequently trained for Operation ZIPPER - the liberation of Malaya. Thanks to the bombs, the landing became an administrative exercise rather than an assault.
As with the other short histories in this series, this is a near-facsimile of the original publication with some rearrangement of pages because of the change from a magazine to a book format.
