This pamphlet contains four reports and two speeches to the "Problems of Current World Development" scientific session on October 2-4, 1978 in Tirana, organized by the Institute of Marxist-Leninist Studies at the Central Committee of the Party of Labour of Albania. These reports take up serious problems in the theoretical development of the international Marxist-Leninist communist movement, centred on Comrade Enver Hoxha's materialist thesis in the Report to the 7th Congress of the PLA that the revolution is no longer a future aspiration or ideal, but a problem to be taken up for solution. The first report is dedicated entirely to this thesis. From this thesis, all the issues taken up to accomplish the task of revolution flowed. The second report seriously studies the then-prevailing revisionist trends in various countries and discusses how the Marxist-Leninists have approached and will continue to approach them. The third report is about the significance and necessity of the Marxist-Leninist Party in each country, and its role as the main subjective factor in preparing the conditions for revolution. The fourth report is about the foreign policy of the PLA and People's Socialist Republic of Albania, which was as solid as granite rock in supporting the proletariat and peoples worldwide, as an example of resolute proletarian internationalism. The conference, in which delegates from the fraternal parties attended, was a major contribution to the treasury of Marxism-Leninism, and many of the principles it took up are still applied by the parties today.
