The scripture categorically stated that God‘s promises, purposes and prophecies can only be established by power (Matthew 11:12). Even the great commission could not commence until the spiritual statues of the Apostles were upgraded and energised by divine power (Acts 1:8; 2:1-3). In the physical realm, Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) stated that every object will continue in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is acted upon by an external force. Applying this Newton’s First Law of Motion to human life, it means, everyone will continue to have the same experience or continue at the same rate of achievement unless acted upon by an external forces (spiritual forces). These spiritual forces have great influences in the affairs and experiences of man. No one desires to remain static in life, even there is no permanent condition in human experience. It is either one is hindered and retarded by satanic forces or lifted and exalted by God’s power. So, the necessity to secure divine assistance is an indispensible secret for as many that desire changes in status, spiritual upliftment, physical wellbeing, financial and career breakthroughs, ministry success, marital bliss etc. The act of waiting upon the Lord to secure divine assistance is not an indolent disposition to life challenges, but active trusting in God that all is possible with Him. It is an act of believing in divine power to energise human efforts for unprecedented results. It involves tapping from heaven’s resources through prayer, His words and probably with fasting. If we are going to walk in our high places as royal priests and peculiar people in this world, we have a lot to learn from the lifestyle of eagle, the king of birds. The act of moulting (staying in solitary place for renewal and refreshing) makes this distinguished and exceptional bird to continually soar higher than other birds and abode in high mountains. Indeed, if we must soar into our desired new heights and abode in the high places we desired, we must undergo spiritual moulting because only those that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagle, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31, NKJV)
