The Gospel of Saint Mark | ᐅᒥᓈᐧᒋᒧᐃᐧᐣ ᓭᐣᐟ ᒪᕒᐠ

This first edition of the Gospel of Saint Mark is given in Oji-Cree as it is spoken in Kingfisher Lake. We chose to begin translating the Bible into Oji-Cree so that our communities can have God’s Word in our own language. The translation is intended to be understandable to Oji-Cree believers and have the same meaning as the original texts when Bible was first written. People who are not from Kingfisher Lake will likely notice some differences from the way they speak. The text has been reviewed closely by a local committee of elders and clergy.
