11-Acatl Tonalpohualli 2023-2024 Weekly Planner
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
In the tradition of the Mexica of Tenochtitlan and many other surrounding Native cultures of Mexico, each day holds a particular potential. The potential of the day was determined by experts, the tonalpoque (readers of the days), who consulted the tonalpohualli (the count of days) held within their books (today known as codexes). Many factors affect the potential of each day and these factors were taken into account when planning important life events such as weddings or naming of children. In this tonalpohualli weekly planner, the tonalli (day) and the traditional symbols used to depict the varying potentials of each tonalli will be present on each page for each day of the Gregorian calendar beginning with January 1, 2023, and ending with March 20, 2024, the last day of the 11-Acatl year. This tonalpohualli weekly planner will allow the reader to plan important days according to the sacred techniques of our ancestors and also reflect upon each day using Native time-keeping practices.
