A Frenchman's Tour of Ireland

A Frenchman’s Tour of Ireland in 1861 was published in French in the nineteenth century, the work of French missionary priest, Emmanuel Henri Dieudonné Doménech. The object of M. l’Abbé’s tour was to write about ancient monuments, associated legends, and include a little anthropology. It would serve as an antidote to ‘tiresome and dangerous novels’. It was partially translated into English in the 1860s for a small audience; this reproduction completes the translation.
