The Holiness of God As Presented By Prophet Hosea

God is both holy and loving. There are a number of instances in which we see God as loving and many other with God as holy and there are also some occasions in which both the holiness and love of God is expressed together. Here we try to understand how the prophet Hosea presents the holiness of God( ‘holy’ (Hebrew: qȃdôš )). I choose Hosea precisely because we see a God who is holy and at the same time a God who is too loving to the unfaithful Israel that His holiness does not hinder Him from loving the adulterous, unworthy and impure Israel. It is portrayed by the faithfulness of Hosea to his wife who was a whore and who continued to be so even after receiving genuine and pure love of Hosea. Hence the book itself is written in a background of the holiness and love of God and they appear together. Hence this book will help us to understand properly the love and holiness of God.
