The all African American Brick Mill Cemetery of Onslow County, North Carolina is believed to be the oldest, ca.1903, and largest cemetery of its type within the county. Formed between the local Black and White citizens of Richlands, North Carolina to be the final resting place for local Black citizen. This text will explore the cemetery preservation project, genealogy and other aspect of the Ancestors buried within the Brick Mill Cemetery. Freed Slaves, Veterans of Foreign Wars and prominate community leaders rest in these Hollow Grounds.
