Sustaining Sovi Bay landscape and tourism on Fiji's Coral Coast

This book outlines landscape-related issues associated with tourism within Fiji's Coral Coast. The research was undertaken by final year Bachelor of Landscape Architecture students at Unitec New Zealand. The research focusses on the proposed resort at Sovi Bay and investigates how the resort fits into the larger picture: what environmental impacts affect the resort and its operation, and what impacts will the resort have, in turn, on the landscape within which it is located? The research includes an analysis of the Fijian village located within the same catchment. Richly illustrated, this publication provides an insight into the impact that resort developments have on traditional communities.
