Butterfly in a Snow Storm is an innovative and eclectic collection of poetry exploring the human condition. Some pieces lampoon, others politicize, while anti-war and pro female themes stir. Stylistically variety prevails and the inclusion of some visual work means that this book has a centrefold! Themes of motherhood, HRT and the last American Presidential election feature alongside homages to Goethe and Dylan Thomas. Jacqui recently gained a Masters in Writing Studies and performs her work regularly. This collection, both humorous and poignant, exemplifies life and why, at times, we feel helpless, like a butterfly in a snow storm.
