This has been another successful round of diving into an individual artist’s collage practice; this time we examine the works of James Critchlow. In this issue, Critchlow tackles sensory overload via advertisement and the overabundance of information we intake daily from the online world. As the story progresses, we see the individual emerge with the question, “how do I fit into this digital landscape?” As companies extract data from us and pathologize us, turning us into the cogs in a larger machine of revenue, in what ways can we subtly leave clues of our human fingerprints behind?
