Jake Reaper, aka, Grim, is an 18-year-old just trying to survive in a small city in Texas. But while most teens his age are dealing with dating, drama, and exams, Jake spends his nights hunting down the various races of the supernatural world known collectively as Empyreans. Jake is a Werekin with a demonic curse given to him by his mother in the form of a pentagram. From fighting hellhounds to demons, Jake fights to awaken the Werekin totem inside. After revealing the Empyreans to some of his Prosaic classmates (that's what we call you normal folk) he is serving his probation by policing the world of the Empyreans to ensure that the Prosaics never learn of the Nightside, the supernatural underground that thrives while you sleep.
