The Last of the Mohicans

The Last of the Mohicans is a classic of American literature set during the French and Indian wars of the Eighteenth Century. The action centers on the the scout Hawkeye and his companion Chingachgook as they strive to save the Munro sisters from Magua, a Huron renegade. The novel was one of the most popular in English in its time and remains widely read in American literature courses.
