Wyoming post office names, first postmasters, dates of operation, map locations, and local and statewide stories of other historical events that may have played a role in the establishment of these post offices. Many have been lost over time, with names and places that are little known or completely forgotten. Others have remained operational in the same or newer locations. Post office names have changed sometimes even though in the same location, local names (nicknames) were suggested by area residents and some names were actually duplicated but in different counties of the state.
