The Shade of Grey

Catherine Renfield is a young English journalist who gets a job working for occult investigator David Page. After discovering the site of a satanic ritual, Catherine and David, accompanied by the imposing private eye Edmund Ross, scour the country in an attempt to find the grimoire used in the ritual. The Shade of Grey is Catherine's personal account of her first investigation, a journey which leads her into a secret world of satanic societies and ancient rituals, which finally draws to a terrifying conclusion where Catherine's own soul is at risk of eternal damnation.
