This four volume set is a necessity for anyone researching early New England and its settlers, totaling nearly 2400 pages and tens of thousands of individuals. This latest edition has been completely reformatted to aid the historical researcher. The original text, first published in 1860, listed each surname as a very large block of text with no easy way to distinguish one individual from the next. This version has broken up the original blocks of text, separating out each individual, making it easier to navigate through the copious number of entries.
