The terrorist attacks of 911 effected all Americans in one way or another. Many lost loved-ones, or jobs,or their sense of safeness. Journey and her friends, who lived in the East Village, witnessed the carnage firsthand. They all learned important lessons about the temporal characteric of life. They found that love isn't always unconditional; but we always knew that, didn't we? And, last but not least, they realized that friendship, cannot and will not ever be, a color, religion, sexually orientated, or class based. It must be as blind as love. The love for their fellow man, which they all have naturally born into them, helped to carry them through this horrific ordeal.
