Missions: Heralds of Capitalism or Christ?

Are Christian missions stooges of Capitalism? Today, the question may sound derogatory, but not many decades ago missions were proud to be associated with Capitalism and its colonial extension in Africa. But were they stooges? Many Nigerians have accused them of this, while Western supporters of missions may regard the very question as an expression of gross ingratitude for the benevolent services their missionaries have rendered. This book is not merely an expose, but it also gives Christians everywhere guidance so that their economic behaviour is not merely a way of making a living or a profit, but a vehicle for carrying out the Christian mandate.
