I began writing poetry when I was eight years old. It was in classic "roses are red, violets are blue" format and is to be considered the first thing I've ever truly loved alongside reading, painting and drawing. As an avid reader, and passionate daydreamer from a young age, I felt that one day it would be my turn to share my own work with others, however, my "why" was missing, the reason I wanted to do all these amazing things, it was just something I loved because I felt good at it. I began pursuing the arts in a professional arena at age 19, around the time I began teaching preschool. My spiritual life was in great need around this time, I had no connection to the God I claimed I believed in and my work felt empty and voided until I began educating the mind of young children and went under the mentorship of a woman name Mrs. Cynthia. She took note of what I loved and guided me to the source of who I was a person and as a creator. My relationship with God began through acknowledging him as the creator of all creators and as a result, my work has never been the same. My passion for the arts grew each day that I praised him for granting me the opportunities to share it. In due time I began selling my art out of Railroad Square, THE art park of Tallahassee and began building a name for myself, my first book came to be after I turned 26. My "Why" had finally became clear, I want my heavenly father to be proud of me and inspire those who have inspired me through the arts.
