Canadas lost sons of the Vietnam War
A review of all known Canadians that died during the Vietnam war.
As a Canadian myself I was shocked that no book had been published that told the story of the Canadians that died during the Vietnam war. I decided that I would raise my hand and take up the journey to tell their stories. They should never be forgotten. During this process it has been my honor to converse and meet some the families of the men you will see in this book. The Vietnam war ended many years ago, but for the families the pain of loss is still there. I hope this book will give some relief to the families, friends, and researchers for years to come. To add some clarity. Did all this men leave their Canadian homes to join up stateside? The answer is no. Some of these men had dual nationalities and were living in the U.S at the time of the war. Some were working in the U.S at the time of the war. But yes, many did leave their Canadian homes to "join up" stateside. But there was one problem, Canadians could not join the U.S military. So how? Well it was simple a U.S address was given and no questions were asked. This causes historians a great deal of problems and we may never know the true number of Canadians that went to Vietnam. This is a project that has no end.
