Jason Schultz (aka Coltsfoot) of Long Island, New York has been involved in the research and training of martial systems for the last 3+ decades. His initial exposure was through the grappling arts of wrestling and judo followed up with his study of traditional (pre-Japanese) Okinawan karate.
Due to the trajectory of his research Jason eventually left behind the world of combat sports and traditional martial arts for the world of World War 2 era armed/unarmed combat and earlier rough and tumble tactics. His journey into what is commonly referred to as "gutter fighting" began with the purchase of Jim Grover's (bka Kelly McCann) Combatives 1-2-3 and further with his research into the works of John Styers, Gordon Perrigard and William E. Fairbairn. Jason would go on to develop relationships with some of the most important names in the industry today.
Eventually, Jason began to share his knowledge with the world through the underground release of the Medusa Edged Weapon System manual and the formation of his personal gutter fighting thinktank the Blood Hill Combat Club.
