Secret of the Stars tells the exciting adventures of Amythest, an awkward 9 year old, who lives with her mother in a small Canadian town where she is bullied and ostracized. Her life is changed forever on the day that the animals follow her to school. When she arrives home, Amythest finds her house full of relatives whom she has never met and a proud mother and uncle with a story to tell. Amythest struggles to belong amidst an imposing family who’s shocking secrets threaten the tranquil island of Dualkin that is Amythest’s family home. Here, Amythest is quickly drawn into a plot to overtake the country. She discovers unique gifts as she runs from adventure to adventure, culminating in a cleverly orchestrated play for power with everything Amythest loves hanging in the balance. Fanciful creatures, colourful villains and budding magical skills add tension and excitement for our heroine.
