Lieutenant Brian Hawke came to Madagascar to destroy the pirate republic of Libertatia; what he found was an adventure like nothing he'd imagined! Lieutenant Brian Hawke volunteered to pose as a deserter to infiltrate the pirate port of Libertatia at Diego Suarez. Nobody warned him that fiery-tempered 'Spitfire' Stevens would be there, nor that jealous pirate king Roc Brasilliano would look angrily on the interloper as a rival for her affections. With the dim-witted Princess Patma captured by the Brasilliano, Hawke strives to keep her identity secret and convince her iron-willed Scotch guardian to let him help them to escape. But with Spitfire growing jealous of the princess, who has her eyes on Hawke, and Brasilliano growing jealous of Hawke himself, there is only so long the game can be played before the Royal Navy plunges into the port and straight into a trap that has already sent many an honest sailor to his grave.
