Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This book is a 40 page fictional short story novel written by, Jeff Barlett who is a former correctional officer, has an associates degree in criminal justice, and many years of private security experience. This story is about an African American Prison Warden named Warden Brown who investigates all the corruption by officers and crimes committed by inmates on his unit. Warden Brown grew up poor in the ghetto and was once a troublemaking kid who once got arrested at 15 years old but he turned his life around by becoming a Christian volunteering at his church after being ordered by a judge to complete community service. Warden Brown worked his way up the correctional ladder earning his PHD online and became the warden of The Blue River Valley State Prison which is a fictional prison where the fictional character Warden Brown is in charge of. Throughout the Warden Brown investigates incidents that happen on his unit while he is also responsible for investigating a murder scene of a convicted serial killer on his unit committed by one of the inmates. Unlike many of the fictional crime novels out there this book was written by an author with a degree in criminal justice and has actual experience working in corrections and security so even though this book is short with only 40 pages it is more realistic then those fictional crime novels that are obviously called "Fiction" for a reason.
