Near Future

I believe that too many of us are expecting a dystopian future, that this false narrative has become so embedded in our culture that we are causing it to happen. I explore a planet that brings the Earth back. We learn to embrace nature, we bring critical thinking and a movement of citizen scientists to all grades of public education. We change our value system and come to the realization that we are all one people and need to live as a community. All five of the stories take place in the same time period and originate from the same American city. I try to give the reader a glimpse into this world from the eyes of several different people. Each accepting or rejecting emerging technologies as befitting their individual needs and personalities. But most of all, I like to think of this book as a conversation that the future might have with the present.
