This books objective is to fit democracy to human nature and come to a new kind of democracy; a People(s) democracy. Currently, people are assumed to adapt to the system, which causes many structural problems in society that can never be solved without redefining the system. Many are searching for their Self whereby we see other people as obstacles to be overcome in order to reach this goal. This implies that others are a limitation to us and our development. The ideal society is in such case a ‘society’ of only one individual. A search whereby everyone tries to find himself without including others leads to a situation in which no-one recognizes each other because everyone is speaking his own ‘language’. However, a person is not an atomized individual but an integral part of the environment. By searching for yourself by excluding others you deny the essential characteristics that determine what it means to be human, because it is only possible to find yourself when you include others.
