Jesus Speaks About the Traits of a Follower

The disciples impulsively demand that Jesus give them a "piece of the kingdom," without regard of the price of thier request. Though Jesus is only a few days walk from Jerusalem, the disciples selective listening has prevented them from hearing that the cost (the cup) of following Christ is rooted in sacrifice and service.
