The Deepest Longing of Young People

The deepest longing of young people is to be loved unconditionally. In thousands of conversations with incarcerated youth as well as those in schools and church groups, the author has learned that youth in our culture cannot differentiate between performance based approval and unconditional love. They long for healthy adult interaction and have defined that to the author as: "If you say you are going to show up, show up."
