A modern fantasy short novel about the importance of self acceptance. France, 1930s. Elsa Ludgate is a lonely young woman who works as an assistant in a grocery store and who has the inexplicable condition of possessing a touch capable of generating large electric shocks when feeling accelerated. This has led her to lead a wandering and isolated life, in which she seeks to avoid any strong emotions so as not to get into trouble. However, when her strategy of living an emotionless life fails after a strange incident, she finds herself in need of leaving her city and joining a decaying circus that seeks to turn it into its newest attraction: The Jellyfish Girl. This will make Elsa begin to experience a series of situations that will make her understand the true nature of her condition and herself.
