A Broken Home

A Broken Home is the story of a young girl coming of age while she experiences her family in crisis. Her story is filled with tension and conflict. She questions why this is all happening to her family and herself. Is she somehow to blame? Do all families have these conflicts? Is there anyone she can trust or turn to for happiness? The author, Jewel Fajimi, gives the reader insight into the life of the young girl, Lovelyn,growing up in Nigeria. Her family has lost the basic trust and love needed to stay together as a loving unit. Selfish acts have pulled at the fabric of her family. She desperately wants to know why. In the end, she seeks trust and love. A happy home. Her determination and belief lead her on a quest to find what her heart desires.
