Sacrifice of Praise, Anglican Essentials, Volume I, is chiefly provided to equip the Anglican faithful with a deep Biblical well to draw daily upon for Prayers, Hymns, Anthems, Doctrines, and Devotions. This book is intended to be used with the Holy Bible and seeks to be a source of "essential" elements for Christians. Sacrifice of Praise is especially suited for families, novices of the daily prayer office, and church missions and plants where a need exists for the Prayer Book and Hymnal, in an easily accessible and single collection. This work fulfills multiple needs of the Christian faithful including: the entire Psalter, the Daily Office (Morning, Evening, Terce, Sext, None, and Compline). Holy Communion, according to the Book of Common Prayer Traditional Language, a comprehensive Hymnal covering the core of Anglican and Church hymnody, Prayers and Thanksgivings, the Catechism, Thirty-Nine Articles, and lastly Devotions (e.g. Private Devotions of Lancelot Andrews, etc.). SOP Volume II is also available with a more comprehensive daily office, hymnal, as well as a complete Psalter pointed for chant according to St. Dunstan's Plainsong. The prayer offices in Sacrifice of Praise, Anglican Essentials, follow the Traditional Morning and Evening Prayer offices from the Book of Common Prayer. Together with the Psalms, these offices form the bedrock of the Anglican church's common prayer. This work couples the traditional common prayer offices with the Apostolic Trinitarian pattern of Terce, Sext, and None, to provide a full Biblical and Apostolic order of prayer for private and community use. Lastly, Compline is included as a supplement for usage directly before bed, as described by Hippolytus in Apostolic Traditions.
